You know, this was a sweet story and all. But...it was totally illogical. It started out great. I loved Judith and Sean. They were great characters. And then...*****MAJOR SPOILERS*****
There is NO way that a priest (or anyone really) would encourage a man to marry the prostitute he had knocked up during business hours. During that time period she would have been seen as "less than" and given no second thought.
There is NO way Sean should be worried that Angela could take custody of his daughter. During that time period, men had many more rights than women, including custody of the children. And no one in their right mind (including a judge) would award custody of a child to her prostitute mother over her stable father.
*****End spoilers*****
And so, for these reasons, I couldn't enjoy this book. It just made no sense and the conflict was completely illogical.

Judith Bride of Wyoming American MailOrder Brides Series Book 44 edition by Hildie McQueen American MailOrder Brides Romance eBooks Reviews
This is the first in the "state series" that I've read. I know the reader must often suspend belief when reading many stories, but this was just too much. Things that happened were beyond suspending belief and bordered on ridiculous, such as Sean's relationship with the baby's mother. It was also way too convenient how Judith met him. The way in which the characters acted wasn't true to the time period.
Judith came west to be a mail order bride to one man only to find he had been killed in a accident what was she going to do? Then by a chance meeting with a friend discovered that poor Sean is raising his daughter alone they decided to marry for her honor but then Sean's daughters mother shows up and she definitely isn't dead and is forcing Sean to marry her what will become of Judith now ? Read this wonderful book
More love than you could ever imagine and still a little steamy. Whoo whee this is a good read. I totally enjoyed reading Hildie's contribution to this awesome collection of M.O.B.'s. Great job so far to all the wonderful authors who have brought them to us.
Judith arrives Wyoming and no one comes to meet her. Upon talking with the man at the station she asks if he knows her intended. Then she finds out he had an accident and died a couple days ago.
A couple of ladies come to her rescue and things move quickly. A very good story with a lovely romance and the usual amount of problems. Some angst, kidnapping, and generally major stress gives this story lots of action.
Book 44 of the American Mail-Order Bride Series. A factory fire forces Judith to review her future. She answers an ad to be a mail order bride. Wyoming is where this takes her. Upon her arrival, she learns her intended, husband to be, died. Now what? Sean is a man who has a little baby to care for. Judith agrees to become a caregiver for the baby. A turn of events cause great heartache and the baby missing. Can they come together, as one happy family? A very good book with a most different set of circumstances.
When Judith Hamilton lost her job at the factory, she decided to respond to an ad in the paper for a mail order bride. Her chosen groom lived in Casper, Wyoming. When Judith arrives in Casper, she finds out that her intended is deceased. What is she to do? She has little money and no family or friends in Casper. Fortunately there is a rancher in town who needs a caregiver for his newborn daughter. But they can't live together, so they have to get married. The marriage could be cancelled for good when the mother of the baby comes back to town. This was a very enjoyable book. Yes there is a bit of bedroom romance, but it wasn't anything that took away from the story. It just showed how much they love each other.
This book took me back to the Little House on The prairie days. Judith has to make a decision to become a mail order bride after the factory she works at burns down leaving her without a job. After a long train ride things do not go as planned, her intended groom has passed but there is Sean and his daughter who need a woman in their life. Add one meddling sister Eloise to give a little push and hold on for the ups and downs of getting to know a complete stranger. A quick read with a good storyline.
You know, this was a sweet story and all. But...it was totally illogical. It started out great. I loved Judith and Sean. They were great characters. And then...
